Winter car wash tip

For those of you who, like me, live in a cold weather climate in the winter, I've just made a discovery to make washing your car more tolerable on those days when it's above freezing and you want to get the salt and crud off your ride. I bought a pair of NeoSport cold water wetsuit gloves. They are made of 5mm neoprene and are flexible enough wring out your wash pads and work the hose couplings, yet resist minor abrasions. Relatively inexpensive (about twenty bucks) they keep your hands warm and out of the harsh wind. By their nature, your hands get wet, but that thin layer of water is heated by your body temp to insulate them from the cold. After washing, I just back the car into my garage for drying. A small quartz radiant heater keeps it comfortable enough to work in a sweatshirt. I don't know why it took me 40 years to discover this, but better late than never.:2thumbs:
