cdnrod
Finally got a chance to clean up the 'Nox. Just had time for a wash and application of glass sealant. There is a lot more that could be done...but this is a big improvement. SouthernSteve, RayS and stalebreadjr
Rich
Wondering how you like your Equinox? I bought a 19 about 6 months ago and the wife is ready to GIVE it away. Bought the Premium model, but it has issues I'm not used to in a new car. Doesn't go for crap even on the slightest amount of snow unless it's in AWD. Open the sunroof just a hair, and there's all kind of cracking and ticking. No nav unless I use my phone.....not happening. Noisy. Has the 2.0 turbo in it, and it's not terrible, but glad I'm not towing anything. Just wondering what your thoughts are on yours?
Brownie 303
My sisters 300 "Big Sal" is the latest hydrophobic car on the road courtesy of yours truly. The new compound is nice to work with, ended up using that, polish, brilliant glaze and sealant. Did a full recon for her, sealed the windows and scrubbed 5 years of brake dust from the barrels. I owe her interior dressing and leather conditioner which I have yet to buy. SouthernSteve, RayS, stalebreadjr and 6 others

It's been reliable and comfortable overall, but there are too many shortfalls. Agree they are crap in the snow. I think mine is a 1.8 if I recall correctly. too little engine for the weight, and the fuel economy is lacking. Feels some sluggish when there is a full load of passengers. Should have got the 6 cylinder. I have had this in for various warranty issues including pistons and rings before 60k miles. Not good. I guess to summarize - I have not been disappointed really as I knew I wasn't buying a performance or luxury ride...but it could have been so much better. My mother in law has a '17 LT that is improved from mine, but still middling. I would not buy another. Rich and mc2hill 1

Captain Slow
Rinsed a weeks worth of salt off the SS. Then I foamed it with Griots Garage Surface Prep Wash, rinsed it again. I then washed it using many MF wash mitts in a bucket of warm water and Adam’s Wash n Wax. Dried it using Adam’s Spray Wax as a drying aid. Adam’s Tire Shine on the winters then out in the sun for a quick pic. Nickfire20, Brownie 303, stalebreadjr and 1 other
them240i
With some nice mild temps and no rain for a few days, it was time to rid myself of the various dirt and aerosolized tar (paving a road .5 miles from me). I ended up using the W&W soap today on the rest of the car, but for the wheels, it was still a multi-step process of using: T&R Cleaner, Eco APC and WC. mc2hill, stalebreadjr, SouthernSteve and 3 others

Rich
If you guys with SUV's don't have one of these to clean that Nox with, you need to get one. stalebreadjr
Took advantage of the warm Georgia weather and washed the goat. I gotta brag on a couple things..... first off, ceramic spray coating holding up strong. Foaming soak of wash+coat, power rinse, 80% of the dirt and grime gone! Loving it! Second foam and wipe down got it spotless. Secondly, freaking tire armor! I literally just soaked the tires for a few minutes with TRC and then power rinsed.... spotless and shiny! Ceramic boosted, shiny! I mean, I'm no professional and I'm sure i can improve my coating techniques and shining techniques (which is why I learn from you guys on the daily) but if it's this easy for this dummy.... everyone should at least try it! galaxy
If you guys recall the really red Mustang a few posts back, we picked up these late model PP1 wheels to go on his car. They look amazing. Got them cleaned and polished. Too cold to ceramic coat them yet. Will re-do in the spring. But they still cleaned up amazing! falcaineer, SouthernSteve, Nickfire20 and 1 other
SouthernSteve
Spent the last couple of days detailing a 2013 Infiniti. Topped with Adams Ceramic Spray coating after washing, chemical and mechanical decon, 2 Step correction, wipe down, etc... I really love the Adams 2 part Metal polishes...😎 Edited January 25, 2020 by SouthernSteve Nickfire20, falcaineer, stalebreadjr and 2 others
Captain Slow
Cleaned about a month’s worth of road chemicals, grime and grit off of the SS. I used Adam’s Wash & Wax for foaming and washing. Wheels came clean with just the foam from the iK sprayer, a boars hair brush and a wheel brush on the barrels. Coat your wheels folks, it makes them SO easy to clean. I hit them up with a spritz of Ceramic Boost after I dried them. I used several MF wash pads in a bucket of warm water then rinsed. I used no drying aid but did treat the finish to one spray per panel of Ceramic Boost, two for the hood and roof. No sun today so just inside pics. She’s staying put (and clean) until Monday morning. Captain Slow
Today while my wife’s Beast was hogging up the garage getting its mid winter spa treatment I snapped a pic or two of the clean SS. Her Durango was first foamed with Adam’s Wash & Wax because why not? Tires and wheels cleaned with an OTC tire & wheel cleaner. Wheels each got a spritz of Ceramic Boost and tires got Gyeon Tire. Finish got cleaned with several MF wash pads in a bucket of warm water. After drying I gave each panel a spritz of Ceramic Boost but by the insane beading it was unnecessary. Thinking I may get her the Adam’s two part glass coating wipes as she sees a lot more driving than I do. Brownie 303
The weather's been all over the place so I've only managed to knock out 3 interiors. My wrangler, wifeys explorer and my sister in laws pilot. The pilot is waiting for a full paint correction but I managed a deep wheel clean and a wash for now. 2 out of 3 cars have leather which of course was cleaned and treated. I played with the new compound and my mf pad on the pilot headlights and got a good result for such little work. Sun dried makeup was NO match for APC, IC and ID new almond scent! I LOVE the in n out spray, it really rounds out the detail and gives a "like new" finish. I've had a similar product from car brite for WELL over 20 years that I use sparingly as I was scared I wouldnt find a replacement. I included a pic of cleaned and cleaned/treated leather in case you haven't picked up your leather conditioner yet! cdnrod, tlbullet, mc2hill and 3 others
Brownie 303
After winning the boss over to let me buy Adam's products at work, I cant help but share. Heres a dirty JCB telehandler that I used APC on the tires to bring them back to black. I'm heading back to hq soon to burn a hole in his card some more! tlbullet, Nickfire20, Rich and 5 others
them240i
Finall got my hand on my SO’s Outback. And now it is properly clean. And I went the extra mile and applied some VRT to all of those trim panels. It was very satisfying. mc2hill, Brownie 303, stalebreadjr and 2 others
Brownie 303
I promise not to do this too often, but I'm just happy with how well Adam's products perform to help me do a good job. I have maybe 2 ounces in my sprayer and it's making these tires look brand new. Nothing sees dirt and abuse more than these machines, who knows what kinds of muck this has on it! mc2hill and stalebreadjr
Rich
Got to 44* today so the Nox got a bath and a wipe down with the CS3. I'm impressed with this stuff. Great shine, easy to use, and great beading. Good stuff.
Captain Slow
i spent the day yesterday with my 21MM Swirl Killer and old trusty PC for 3” pad duty fixing the mess my local Chevy dealer left on my SS. I totally brain farted on telling them NO WASHING the car so it went into the scratch tube. I felt sick when I went back to service department to pick it up and saw dirty water dripping off of it. 😳😥 Once I got home I pulled it in the garage as I didn’t want to see it in full sun.💔 I could see the damage under the garage lights so off to the basement I went for supplies. Adam’s Rinseless wash was used for preliminary cleaning. I clayed using ONR as a clay lube with Adam’s clay bar and clay mitt. Then it was polish time. Most came out with just one pass but I did need to compound the above section on the hood. Sadly this removed my application of Adam’s Coating so I used a competitor’s coating and topped it with Ceramic Boost both yesterday and today. Today I saw the March forecast and it’s upper 40’s to upper 50’s for the next few weeks so off went the winter wheel/tires replaced by the summer wheel/tires. Wheels were coated with a competitor’s wheel coating last fall with Adam’s Tire Shine on the tires. During the winter I frequently hit the summer wheels with Adam’s Ceramic Boost so we’re good to go. On a side note I’m done with that Chevy dealer but not because of the scratches. First I discovered this morning that after they pulled the car into scratch tube they turned off my dash cam but turned it back on after they pulled it in to the service lane... 14 minutes later. 🤔 Second was the left rear lug nuts were all loose. I discovered this today while changing the wheels. Their oversight could have ended tragically. The first is suspicious the second is inexcusable. I love the car, but the dealership’s action are not proper. I would probably speak to the Service Manager first to see what happened. By chance, do you record your odometer readings before and after service, or notice what the fuel level was? On another note, I wanted to get the dust off of the car, so I hit it with some WW and followed by BG. BG is amazing and the car looks like the day that I picked it up from the dealer.
