Finally detailed my Camaro!

So today was one of the only days to actually detail the Camaro in NY. 45degrees was it for me lol. I started this at 130pm and finished at 7pm. Got dark on me but I was determined to finish! Before starting I gave a call to adams polishes and made sure I am on the right track with the whole process. Mook was a great help to me and I want to thank him a lot for leading me in the right way.

These are some before pictures I took. I wish I would take some of the back of my Camaro to show u how bad that was.

Tire and wheels came first. Now my Camaro is lowered so cleaning the wheel well was a lil difficult but I tried my best. I used the All Purpose cleaner for the wheels and Green wheel cleaner for my rims. Look at all that dirt. The car hasn't been washed in about or month or more due to weather here in NY.

Here's how the looked after everything was done :) !!!!

Next is the 2 bucket wash! Unfortunately I wasn't able to use warm or even hot water. There was a lil problem with the heater for the water in the house so I went with cold. Let me tell you I froze my hands! But I sort enjoyed it because I knew what the outcome of the result would look like. So I manned up and took the cold hand and went right to work!

Then I hit the car with some detail spray after the rinse and then went to dry! I had one bottle of the old formula of detail spray so I wanted to get through it

Here how it came out with just with wash and detail spray! Looked amazing! I had a lot of people complementing the car! The second picture of the hood is to show u the swirls and scratches in the hood. It was hard to get because the sun came and left quick lol

Next is to apply the SuperVRT to my carbon fiber stripes and to my trim pieces

Now it was time to clay the car! There was so much in bedded contaminants in the paint it wasn't funny. As flaying I dropped the first bar so I had to throw it away lol :( but the next one I got it going and the stuff on the car was popping off like popcorn in a microwave lol

This was just the ending of the clay bar. I should've taken a picture of the back of the car after getting clayed. I went through the old formula detail spray in one day lol

Time for the polishing process. On the hood I did the three step method to make sure it will look great and that was the worst part of the car. Through out the car it wasn't as bad so I skipped the sever swirl remover and went with swirl and haze remover and fine polish.

This is how the hood came out after the three step process. I was highly impressed on how it came out and was ecstatic to finish the Camaro no matter what!

Time for the rest of the car. And Yes I'm doing this in the streets lol I'm in Brooklyn NY and I don't got a garage :( I had a lot of fun doing this to my car and I'm so glad I did this to myself! Made me feel good about my Camaro and myself because I was actually able to say I did this and did a fantastic job.

Again the night set in and I don't have any other pictures of me applying the Brilliant Glaze and finishing the paint with Americana Paste :). I also put Buttery Wax on my rims to make them pop. I also needed gas so I took the Camaro out for a spin. And the bight lights showed the job I did to my car and I felt even more happier. Even my mom said the Camaro looks awesome and super shiny good job :). My father loved it and said it was a great job and feels super smooth! His Ridgeline is next lol hope everyone enjoys the pictures as I did taking them in my process

Finished product! More pictures will come in the morning!

Great job bro! Lovin your motivation to tackle that outside in our recent weather. Results came out killer and good job on the write up.

Don't forget to try and come out to the Adam's detail clinic over at Detailers Domain in Norwood, NJ on April 13th. Not far of a drive and nothing but great things to see and learn to help you with your ride.

Again, great work on the Camaro man!

Thanks everybody! My neighbors are always looking at me like I'm crazy for ding everything in the streets. Luckily there was no construction going on so that made it a lil easier since there was no dust. I had a few people take picture from across the street while I was polishing lol. I will post pictures of how the car looks in daylight. All picture were taken with my iPad mini! They came out really well

Here are the picture in the morning as promise. I'm posting them now cause I just got off of work. The rear came out fantastic wish I had a before picture to show u the improvements! I use to have a rubber bumper deflector and it left residue that nothing could take it off. But the clay bar removed all of it and now I don't have the sandy gritty feeling on me car anymore. It's smoothhhhhhhhh

If your MFs are really dirty:

1) Put a few ounces of adams all purpose cleaner in a gallon or two of warm water. Soak your MFs in there for an hour.

2) Put it in the washer and use a detergent that is fabric softener free. It should not have dyes or bleach either.

3) Tumble dry or dry on the lowest heat setting.

4) Go to sleep with your double softs...... :lolsmack:

If they aren't too dirty:

Skip number 1 above and go directly to number 2. Number 4 is a must. :jester:

also whats the best foam gun to get? deff will be able to help me out n the long run when washing my car or my fathers. and do u still do a two bucket wash when using a foam gun?

1) A popular foam gun is the gilmour foam gun.

2) Yes, ABSOLUTELY! A foam gun is not a replacement, but rather an addition to your routine.
