Chase@InsanePaint
This client contacted me as an AVID Corvette fanatic. This is the 37th Vette he's owned!! Title of this thread denotes the year, model, & miles. Needless to say it was a CHALLENGE. Primarily in the paint finish. Honestly, the interior & engine bay were in pretty good condition! It's obvious the previous owner had intentions on keeping this gem clean, but simply had NO CLUE as to how to care for the paint finish. Heavily swirled & marred, I knew I had some hours ahead of me, in paint correction!! Overall, the car looked "dirty gray" (even after being washed) and not even a shimmer of gloss left in it. Here was my plan of attack: Adam's Boar's Hair Brush & Car Wash Shampoo on the engine bay (no APC needed) Blow dry with Metro Sidekick blaster Adam's All Purpose Cleaner & Fender Brush on tires & undercarriage Adam's Turbo Stick & All Purpose Cleaner on wheels 2-bucket wash with Adam's Car Wash Shampoo & an added 2oz. of Adam's APC (to strip old wax, etc. - without this, the Adam's Car Wash Shampoo is PH neutral) along with 2 Jumbo Wash Pads Rinse car & Adam's Clay Bar with Detail Spray entire vehicle Condition engine bay & all plastics with Adam's SVRT & block sponge Tires dressed with Adam's SVRT Wheel wells dressed with Adam's Invisible Undercarriage Spray Polishing consisted of the following: New "prototype" Adam's heavy compound polish New "prototype" Adam's microfiber cutting pads Flex PE14-2 Rotary Flex 3401 Polisher 4" Drill Kit for the lower doors & scoops New "prototype" Adam's fine machine polish & Adam's White Pad Top off with Adam's Brilliant Glaze & Americana Paste Wax, both applied with a Red Hex Grip Applicator All polishes & waxes removed with Adam's Single Soft & Double Soft towels UPON ARRIVAL DURING DURING UPON INSPECTION AFTER WASH DURING POLISHING DEBADGED REAR DECKLID TAIL BEFORE TAIL AFTER (deeper scratches, too deep to repair) ENGINE BAY COMPLETE (sorry, no "before" shots) FINISHED CAR Why do I aaaaaaalways forget to take interior pics???!!!?!?!!! Aaaaarrgghh!!! Well, anyway, here's what I used...... Adam's Leather/Interior Cleaner & Interior Brush on seats Adam's Leather Conditioner & block sponge on all interior leather & plastics Adam's Detail Spray & Single Soft towel on glass (was pretty clean upon arrival) Adam's Quick Sealant on windshield (out of Glass Sealant) Thanks for looking!! If you have any questions, feel free to ask!! Edited March 6, 2013 by Dylan@Adams

Chase@InsanePaint
Great work! BTW, what kind of lighting do you use? I have a dual fluorescent overhead, 2 single 500W halogens on each side, and 800 lumens LED coming from the front, a movable single 500W Halogen to help me with lower body panels, and a movable dual 500W (so 1000W) halogen setup on a tripod. I looooooove the LED dude!!! In time, I will slowly switch over to full LED: Husky 5 ft. 800 Lumen Portable Led Work Light-WL800LP-H at The Home Depot Husky 5 ft. 1720 Lumen Led Work Light with Tripod-WL1720LT-H at The Home Depot Husky 5 ft. 2500 Lumen Multi Directional LED Work Light-3PL-TP-DF-24W at The Home Depot But up next is a floor coating...... Awesome job man. Any thoughts on how the prototypes performed? Yes.......I LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE both of them. Definite improvements!!! We're not even quite to beta testing yet. Still kinda in the developmental stages. But I'll tell ya, you're gonna be STOKED. That's about all I can say for now.

Holder
I wish I could get ahold of some prototype compound. I will be forced to use the other guys compound on an upcoming yellow Z06. I'm just excited that this will be coming. Hopefully sooner than later. I love the progression and always moving forward.
