Hard paint on my TBSS

YIMBROKE

Question

I bought a black granite TBSS a few months ago and this past weekend I decided to clay and polish my hood to see what I was in for when I do my full correction in spring.

Anyways to the point, I did a 3 stage polish and I didn't see the results I'm used to seeing on every other detail I have done in the past. I brought back my 99 black Silverado to like new with just one pass of SHR and FMP and the Gen 2 pads.

Anyone have any advice on how to tackle this? I have every color pad for both my porter cable along with 4" cordless pad kit.

When I come across hard paint I reduce my polishing working area, although the PC will get the job done it just takes time and patience to get it right. Although I have the Flex sometimes if I come across hard paint I will switch to a 5 1/2" pad, the Flex is awesome for hard paint

Speed 6, slow arm speed, plenty of pressure and smaller working area. Look at the bright side, it's better to have really hard clear than really soft clear...

Also, don't move on the next step until your satisfied with your current one.
