LFairbanks
I know that everybody is going to have their opinion with these 4 pictures. Some may not like any of them. That is the way it goes. Some have liked pictures in the 400+ I took while in the Grand Canyon and I wonder why they liked them, or what they saw in them. These are 4 that I have opted to possibly enter into the State Fair this year. I can submit 3. I by no means am a professional, just do it as a hobby and to have fun doing it. If there is a name that you may suggest for a print or each print, please feel free to share it. And if you care to elaborate on a picture you like and why, please again feel free to do so. Any feedback, both positive and negative is welcomed. I might also add the image quality here is crappy. I did it intentionally for ease of uploading pictures. Originals are crisp. Marylander
I liked b. everyone that's ever gone to the Grand Canyon has ones similar to a, c, and d, but b shows that you took a little different perspective and noticed something that's small amongst all the big. And it show some life in the harsh climate, which is positive. Captain Slow and LFairbanks
Periodic
I love D, gives great perspective of the topography! LFairbanks
mc2hill
I understand what Rich is saying, but I am with Ryan on picking "D" for its perspective. LFairbanks

378 Pete
D is the better picture. Your name to too visible, looking at the picture your eyes focus on the name not the body of the picture. I would place your name in the bottom right hand coroner, using a smaller font. Just a thought. LFairbanks
Feets31
I would enter the last three. Each show a little something different. LFairbanks
Mlaforge
D is my choice. This picture gives the viewer a great perspective. In photography there is a golden rule called: Rule of thirds... and I think you nailed it with this one...purposely or not!! Good pic.. Just a thought. I have done that in the past and have people cropped my name out then my pictures show up on Facebook. I'am not even on Facebook. I know that it takes away from everything, but in this day and age not everybody is fair and honest. That is why my name is right down the middle to where there can't be any cropping or editing without it being difficult and ruining the picture. I have also been learning how to control image quality. Edited August 20, 2013 by LFairbanks

LFairbanks
That bottom picture (D) is actually one of my personal favorites as well. That picture was taken about 5 miles in down the Boucher Trail, and the view was just amazing. The picture really doesn't do the scenery justice. Rich
I like D. B is a little too phallic to me. Just sayin. I like the one in your avatar too.
Gen9Rolla
I voted for D as well. Not quite sure what it is about it, but it really stands out to me
LFairbanks
It may not show in the picture B how tall that plant really is. This should give you somewhat of a perspective. That is my brother and he is like 5'11" They bloom one time in 15-25 years then die. It is called a Utah Agave.
LFairbanks
Any name suggestions for any of those prints? I have to submit a name with each print. For example I thought about "Boucher, below the rim" for D. Boucher is the name of the trail that I was on when I took the picture and it is below the rim of the canyon. Kinda hokey, but names usually are. Can only be a max of 4 words.
THE Mook
I like all but the aecond one for entry. All great shots man!
LFairbanks
Thanks to everybody and their input. I submitted pictures B,C, and D. The judges seemed to be intrigued with pictures B and D were asking me what and where I took the pictures. We'll see how it goes. If I don't win a ribbon, that is ok, always fun to enter and everybody has their opinions on pictures. Some that win I wonder why, others I can see why. Just fun to submit something and share it with others. Edited September 2, 2013 by LFairbanks
