meltd0wn
Hi guys After taking delivery of a massive haul of adams gear i finally made it into the garage to get my shine on. No my car wasn't very dirty but a car only 6 months old does gather some slime. This being my very first detail i still have a lot to learn and i have to get my eye in as i did miss some spots here and there. I first thought that i spent too much money and got too much stuff but surprisingly i used almost everything i bought. It was an amazing experience using adams. Everything worked from the deep wheel cleaner to the leather conditioner went on smooth and i was very surprised to say the least. Everything was done wheels, engine bay, paint and interior. The deep wheel cleaner and turbo stick worked extremely well along with the wheel woolies make a great combo for doing wheels. The 2 bucket wash along with car shampoo and detail spray was by far the best experience i have ever had washing a car. The 9x9 wash pads hold so much soap and water that i was almost floored. Detail spray is a product i will always have on hand until i can no longer buy it, and the great white towel WHAT A PRODUCT, that thing is massive and wow how easy it is to use. The clay bar and detail spray was a dream to use (never clay bared a car before). I did wash the car twice and yes the great white towel did last the distance for 2 washes. I wasn't sure about the quick sealant but i did manage to watch the videos and get it done (helps having my iPad there with Youtube). Americana Paste wax is an amazing product and is awesome to use. In and out spray made and appearance for the front grill and engine bay. Super VRT is a great product as well the tyres and rubbers came up great. And lastly the Leather cleaner and leather conditioner make the car smell awesome. I did the full glass detail as well using the glass sealant. In conclusion i have never used products like these before. Every product including the applicators and microfibre towels are great Even though it does cost a bit of money to buy these products are well worth it. After doing my first detail there is a few more things to buy basically just towels and applicators and a galloon refill of APC as it is now used in more places other than the garage (the wife loves it). To Adam and the crew your products are bar none the best period. And to Joseph at Adams Australia mate next order will be soon i hope. I didnt get any pics while doing the car but you can see what the outcome is. I took some various shots yesterday and this morning on the way to work. Thanks For Looking Damo CTFocusST, jbweatherstein and AmyAtAdamsAustralia
JHL88
Looks great man! I like the blue. How do you like the car overall? I had considered getting one a while ago for a DD, they seem pretty nice.
ksell87
Couldn't have said it better myself. The shine on that ST is pretty amazing. Nice work!
meltd0wn
I am extremely happy with. I went through 2 new cars to settle on this car. I had a 2011 FJ cruiser in hornet yellow (i miss that car still) and a 2012 Toyota ruckus (scion XB). The focus is everything i wanted. I was told once that if you leave a car parked and don't look back at least once the car means nothing to you. Well this car i always without meaning too always look back. Everything is amazing on this car and what it comes with standard in Australia is well worth the money. For a 2 litre turbo this car goes like stink and wife loves it almost as much as i do. I hate my driveway as you can see in a couple of the shots, i would love to have a flat undercover surface to wash and detail but alas it will have to be in my next house. varga740
Looks realy nice. Blue was my first choice but they didn't have that color in the package I wanted. Does the license plate holder come integrated into the grill in the 2012 ST's down there in Australia? Mine came with a separate peice that attaches to the front. I haven't bothered with putting it on and haven't been stopped by the cops for it so I'm leaving it off. Btw, the master blaster works really well for drying the front grill, otherwise it's a big pain to dry by hand.

Shermanator
I was going WTF when I saw the grill insert on your Focus ST, then I saw you where in Australia I drove a Focus ST back two summers ago and it was a hoot! Only thing I didn't care for was the Recadro seats making feel like I'm fat (which I really aren't) because the kidney boosters poking me in the sides. The Ryan
Car came out great man! Glad to see you over here on Adam's Forums! PB was my first choice in color, but once I found my RR I couldn't just let it sit there on the lot. meltd0wn

Yes, TheRyan has converted and introduced a lot of people to Adams over at the ST forums. A bunch of us has dropped over a thousand on Adams products already all because of his massive epic thread over there. The Ryan

The Ryan
I'll probably end up doing another thread when the next ST stops by my house for a proper clean up. meltd0wn
meltd0wn
I'll probably end up doing another thread when the next ST stops by my house for a proper clean up. Eagerly awaiting your next thread your so detailed in your threads and i pick up all sorts of tips. Got my first maintenance wash in on the weekend. Man it was easy almost didn't have to wipe the car off the water bead was amazing. I need something better than my air compressor to blow it off though. I would love a blaster sidekick but i cant seem to find anything remotely like it here in Australia though. AmyAtAdamsAustralia
