New member and new truck

senkizer

Question

Hello everyone,

I've been lurking and trying to educate myself on detailing and product differences and have decided to make a purchase.  However, I'm wondering what product would work the best.  I just purchased a black truck, which is outside all day in az sun.  I was planning on washing, clay bar, polishing, then sealant.  I'm torn between using a sealant or wax.  What would be the best to protect the paint?  Thanks for the help.  Any additional info would be appreciated and welcomed.

If your looking for longevity I would use Adams Quick Sealant. I've had this last 3+ months on vehicles that are outside 24/7 here in Pennsylvania. (May last longer but Spring arrived and I was able to detail them). If you want you then could layer the Americana Carnauba wax over top of that. Quick sealant cures quickly. Quick Sealant is my favorite Adams product. I even use it on my black, plastic trim. It is a spray sealant and a little goes a long way! Welcome to the forum!

Have to agree with Ralfy. Machine Super Sealant is the way to go if you have a pc, or flex.  Top it with some Americana afterwards for some extra protection. Black's a *b**ch,  that's why I got white this time.  Post up some pics when you can.
