First Machine Polish questions

whitechevy3

Question

Hey guys I am about to do my first correction polish on my truck. Few questions. I only have the swirl and haze remover and revive. I was thinking s/h remover with orange pad and then revive with the white pad, sound good or is revive a product u can use with the PC?

Next question: my truck spends most of its life in the garage, should I machine seal it or just just some glaze and americana? I am looking for the best shine combo

Thanks for the help!!

Hey Cheston,

While you can use SHR and Revive with a machine, set your expectations at a reasonable level... you likely won't see perfect results, but a good improvement.

With your truck being mostly in the garage I'd recommend using the Glaze and Americana combo... no need for the sealant. Not saying you can't, or shouldn't, but its an extra step that you won't see a ton of benefit from.

Have a great weekend and let us know how it goes!

I never used a machine before and bought the flex.

it was easy to use and got great results

Completely agree with this statement. I have never used a machine and bought the Flex...by the middle of my first correction I felt completely at home with the Flex and it shows great results pretty fast

PC is the safest route, but the slowest. I have never used a real machine either until I bought the Flex. I haven't screwed anything up with the flex and don't really feel I could. I know nothing about the cyclo, pretty happy with the flex.

PC is a great addition no matter what, but....besides getting past the walking (didn't take long) I would recommend the Flex. The thing is simply put, amazing and not that hard to master at all. I also have a Rupes, and let's just say I look over that to get to my Flex every time.

Get what you can afford if it's just for your vehicles though!

I would look in to a good ceramic coating to protect all your hard work and then top with a wax.

Why would you recommend a coating for a garage'd truck? Americana will last six months on that thing, and he'll get about 50 uses out of one jar. Just curious Todd.
