MLB Post Season Bracket...

Team Adam's

Recommended Posts

Its baseballs postseason... so lets play a little game... I'll even offer up a $100 gift certificate to the eventual winner! No cost to enter, just make your picks as each series starts.

HOW TO PLAY (THIS WILL BE A PRETTY SIMPLE GAME) -

  • Just pick your WS favorites from each division by posting them as a reply here.
  • Also pick the TOTAL number of runs scored in the final game of the world series (this will be your tie breaker number should there be a tie)
  • Once you make your reply post here YOU CANNOT EDIT THE POST!
  • Who ever picks the teams that advance the furthest wins!

You don't have to know baseball or the teams to play... just pick 1 National League Team and 1 American League Team that you think will go all the way!

YOUR ENTRIES MUST BE POSTED BY MIDNIGHT TONIGHT... which means you have a chance to see game 1 of both NLDS games before you make your first pick. Good luck!!

*To enter you must be a registered member of AdamsForums.com and submit a post with your picks no later than 11:59pm MST on 10/3/13. Winner will be determined at the end of the MLB post season by comparison of who's picks make it furthest into the post season. Any ties will be determined by the tie breaker score (total number of runs scored in the final game of the world series) regardless of which teams play that game.

Every minute!

Great win for the Rays yesterday.  I don't think they can beat Boston but it's hard not to smile on a walk-off into the ray tank!

I wish the Tigers were playing better.  All the talent in the world and they're just meh.  Been that way all season, really.

Cards just keep on rollin'.  I'm hoping the Bucks beat them but it's gonna take a miracle.

I'm a life-long Dodger fan so I'm very happy to see them steamroll the Braves.  I've always liked the Braves as well but I'm not real crazy about all the ancillary crap around them this year.  Dissing Chipper?  Really?  Petty.

as an Angels fan I'm morally obligated to hate all things Dodgers... so I'm pretty much pulling for anyone to beat them.  Plus, I want to see the Pirates make a run, not looking like they'll get past STL, but would be so fun to watch them go all the way.

At least the Tigers' bats finally showed up.  I hope they make the flight to Oakland.

If I was a Tiger hitter I'd pack my own bats in my carry-on.

Oakland ran into a buzz saw named Verlander last night... the list is getting thinned out. Congrats to everyone who is still in the running. Has been some great baseball to watch regardless of who you're a fan of this year... I expect the STL/LAD series to be great.

BOS/DET looks like it could be a good series IF the Tigers woke up... they need Miggy to be Miggy if they are to stand a chance and he hasn't looked like himself lately.

I still like the Tigers (I picked them at the start of the season) but I really think Boston will be able to neutralize their offense.  The Boston pitchers are smart enough to know that the only pitch Miggy can hit with any power at all right now is inside.  They will keep away and pitch to Prince.  While Prince is a dangerous hitter he can also be an easy out if you make pitches.

I predict a low scoring series - but that's nothing new for the playoffs.

The Dodgers vs. Cards is quite compelling as well.  Great pitching, great hitting.  The problem with the Dodgers is that their starting pitching really falls off after Kershaw and Greinke. But what a 1-2!  And the Cards can't pitch their #1 until game 3.

To be honest I was quite surprised the Tigers bullpen held on to the lead in game 1.  I think that's the weakest part of the team.  I'm certainly not surprised that the BoSox hitters got to them in game two....

You have no idea how difficult it was for me to pick Boston, growing up in NY and all....

I feel ya, brother.  I picked the SF Gi'nts before the season started and I'm a life-long Dodgers fan. Don't I feel stoopid.

...I still can't believe DET coughed that one up last night. Had a chance to go up 2-0 with all the momentum. Great game.

Detroit didn't cough it up Big Papi took it! Props to Torii Hunter for the amazing effort going after that ball.

Puig continues to be a "class act" in LA. <----(sarcasm)

That bat flip on the 3 bagger he thought was a home run exemplifies why I don't like the guy... he was 0 for 12 or 14 going into that at bat?? C'mon man... like my coaches always used to tell me "ACT LIKE YOU'VE BEEN THERE BEFORE"
