Foam gun and strip washing

Performance Auto Detailing

Question

I will be performing a strip wash on my Dad's car on Saturday and it will also be my first time using a foam gun (Gilmour Foamaster). I've got a few questions...

-How much shampoo should I add to the foam gun?

-How much APC should I add to the foam gun?

-Do I still also add 3-4 oz of APC to the wash bucket along with the shampoo in addition to putting APC in the foam gun?

-Should I let the shampoo and APC mixture dwell on the car after spraying the car down with the foam gun to allow the APC to remove the wax?

Thanks!

1.  2-4oz. of Car Shampoo...AFTER the water is in.

2.  2-4oz. of APC...AFTER the Car Shampoo is in.

3.  It wouldn't be a bad idea to add some APC into your wash bucket in addition to the Foam Gun.

4.  Let it dwell a little bit, but remember, that's an added layer of lubrication for your wash media to get that grime off.

Thanks for the help Mook! Do I just fill the foamer gun up with enough water to leave room for the shampoo and APC? Or is there a set amount of water to use?

I used to fill the Gilmour up about 7/8 of the way, and then put the juice in.   Remember to shake the everliving out of it once full.
