Carpet Question??

pilatti1

Question

I just replaced the carper (2nd time in 10years) on my 1965 Mustang Convertible. The carpet was in ok shape but since the top is down a lot in the summer it had fadded from a dark blue to a light blue. What can I do to prevent this from happening again (other then keep the top up in the sun). i do not want to keep replacing the carpet just for a fading issue. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.

There are products out there that protect carpet..ie. a textile sealer, although I don't know how well they do against UV rays.  Nothing Adam's sells will solve your problem <that I know of>.

Also, my buddy used to re-dye carpets...so I know products like that are available, I just don't have alot of knowledge about them.
