I want to detail my truck for the first time, and I use it only on weekends, so I was wondering should I use the machine sealant? How long does the sealant last? Can I wax over the sealant? Thanks

1.  Sure...or Quick Sealant (It's all in how you want to apply it.)

 

2. Reports come in at ~6 months...some more, some less, depending on conditions.  I've never used it.

 

3. Yes, after 24 hours.

shoot, if you only drive it on weekends...I bet it could possibly last a year

Wow Hawaii!!! You sure don't have to worry about salt and snow on your roads. If it is a garage queen and never sees rain, I agree with Jeff that it would last a long time. If it sits out in the weather then it won't last as long. I have used the MSS for years and I really like it especially on my DD. It lasts at least 6 months on those cars. I have sealed and then used the wax as Dave said after the 24 wait and wipe down period. If you take the truck out and do any mudding or stuff like that you will definitely want to have the sealant on it.  Post up some pics
