Metal Polish combo?

Hey guys, question about the abilities of Metal Polish 1 and 2.  My parents are trying to spruce up their place in order to sell it.  They've received a quote of $2300 just for labor to replace the bathroom tub/sink fixtures and vanity cabinet.  I am trying to help them from dumping so much cash into a house they are just planning on moving out of in a few months.

 

The fixtures are brass and very very dirty/corroded.  She also said there might be some green spots.  They won’t come clean with Windex my mom says, haha.  I haven’t inspected them myself in person yet, but what are the odds that Metal Polish 1 and 2 would be able to shine them up?  That plus a coat of paint on the vanity and I’d be able to save them thousands of dollars.  Thoughts?

Its worth a try. The good news is theres not much of anything that they could do that would make it worse. I'd give it a test on one and see what you get.

Get some 0000 steel wool, lube the pad with #1 give it a good scrubbing. Follow up with some metal pads+#1

That should take care of it.

I use the MP twins on anything stainless in my house.  Are the fixtures solid brass or are they anodized aluminum?

Mook, I'm not sure.  I plan on visiting them probably next weekend.  I'll give them a call and ask them.  They picked them out 28-some years ago, so I'm hoping they'll remember what they paid for them thus distinguishing between the real deal or anodized aluminum.  Thanks for that point!
