FINISHING TOUCH Posted February 26, 2014 Share Posted February 26, 2014 A customer of mine has a 2007 corvette and the top of the console is carbon fiber and has scratches all over it is their something that I can use to retore the top of the console. It may just be WTP (Water Transfer process), or the top coat on real carbon fiber, either which would act like paint. Bare carbon giber would be a totally different animal. Is the finish very glossy? 0 Kingsford Posted February 26, 2014 Share Posted February 26, 2014 (edited) Try some revive on a blue applicator or some FP/FMP on a 4" white pad by hand. 0 Rich Posted February 26, 2014 Share Posted February 26, 2014 Is it carbon fiber or hydrocarbon? Most likely hydrocarbon (plastic dipped to look like carbon fiber), so don't use any kind of machine on it. Gentle rubbing with Revive should do the trick. But go easy. I'd use a 4" White Pad and a combo of Paint Correcting Polish with Paint Finishing Polish on that bad boy! It would be a mess inside the car though....
