The 3401 is still made completely in Germany...for now.  There is a "budget" Flex being released in the not too distant future that is a Chinese-made variant to compete against entry level polishers.  The Rupes polishers don't play very nice with the Adam's/BuffnShine pad system, so if Adam's introduced those the entire pad lineup would need to change as well.

Just saw this thread, and am copying the update here!  (No Rupes....hahahaha, however that's a nice unit!  We like Made in the USA best.  Especially when it works as well or better than anything else!)

The thread I just started.....

Friends, I have some news regarding the polishers we promote and offer:

For years, Adam’s has sold and promoted the Flex 3401 VRG polisher.   It’s true dual-action motion and heavy-cutting capability has helped it earn a solid reputation in the industry.  Simply put, we don’t promote Chinese manufacturing, and the new owner of Flex a Chinese company.

With the release of our new Paint Correcting and Finishing Polishes, especially in conjunction with the Microfiber Polishing Pads, we have found that the American-Made Cyclo Dual-Head Random Orbit Polisher and our new polishing system provide equivalent results, with enhanced safety.

We have decided to discontinue selling the Flex Polisher, not only because they are now a China-owned company.  There are several reasons why we chose to promote the only USA manufactured polisher:

  • The Cyclo Polisher is made in the USA, here in Colorado
  • The Cyclo Polisher is the safest polisher in the category.
  • Cyclo Polishers have the lowest repair/ fail rate of all polishers we have ever promoted.
  • We, and our customers have achieved excellent, safe, and consistent results with the Cyclo.
  • I personally prefer the Cyclo, and find it more comfortable to use, and easier to get into tight spots.
  • Regardless what car you have, safety is key, and we like to offer the safest, most effective paint correcting system.

We will continue to service the Flex Polishers that we sold.  Please submit a warranty registry for your Flex, if you have not done so already.

Thanks for your understanding, and you will see more Cyclo videos and kits coming soon!

When we detailed this 1939 Mercedes Benz 540K, using only the Cyclo, I realized, this was the only tool we needed to offer.  (And that wasn't just because the $6.7M car won Best of Show at the Concours the following weekend!)

Enjoy the photos, and if you have any questions, just ask!

Sincerely,

Adam Pitale,

Chief Detailer, Adam's Polishes

Wow adam thanks for the speedy reply although ive only taken notice of this company recently its your honest straight forward approch to customer relations thats quickly winning me over im going to order your products very soon.love your videos btw cant wait to see some more from the cyclo. So something similar to the vid with the flex on the swirled black jeep plz and ill buy one for sure. Good for u guys standing behind your policy of "nothing made in china". The flex is a very popular machine and im sure it was tempting to sell it anyway for profits. Good for u for pulling it. cheers

Thanks Adam! Guess I will be going with the Cyclo. I was torn between which one I was going to buy, I guess my decision has been made now haha.

And if Adam's begins selling the Cyclo brushes for carpets, that will add a whole new level of versatility that the Flex can't offer.

I would absolutely purchase the Cyclo carpet brushes. Anyone know what happened to them carrying the brushes? Dylan mentioned it back when the Cyclo came to Adams.

Well this is unfortunate as I was really looking forward to the flex, but also like staying in the ecosystem of adam's...

that being said, it makes me wonder why you guys chose to use the flex over the cyclo for the heavy swirled jeep video.

You guys have mentioned in videos that the cyclo is not meant to be a heavy swirl remover. so I'm curious what will be used for these from now on.

Hope to see a heavy swirled car polished to perfection with the cyclo video.
