MATTE BLACK STRIPES

GaryW

Question

Detailing a 2010 Camaro.  Dark red or maroon in color.   Nothing fancy, wash and wax.  Owner not ready to have paint corrected.  Plan on good foam strip wash, clay if needed and apply the new liquid sealant.   Used that on my grey sonata and love that stuff.

Question is the stripes,,, can I apply SVRT to the stripes the deepen the black and shine????  Or what would be the best move on the stripes..

SVRT is the ticket for matte vinyl stripes.  Leaves a nice, satin finish on them.

Are they matte or glossy?

Check out this thread, lots of good info about the care for different kinds of stripes:

+1.  Dylan's advice in the video is spot-on, as always.  Having followed it for my matte stripes, I'm very pleased with the results.

The Plan on the stripes,,,, get car all washed down,,, cleaned,, then I will BG the stripes and follow with some SVRT, followed by a touch up wipe with SS towel....

See If I can get some before and after photos.

:patriot:  :bravo:
