Dialed in my Interior

camaro2ssblack

Question

Removed weathertech matts and cleaned with APC and a brush. Rinsed with water and dryed with a master blaster.

Vacuumed interior.

Glass cleaner on all glass and gauges.

Interior surfaces cleaned with APC diluted 1:3.

Door jambs cleaned with Waterless Wash.

Interior surfaces protected with SVRT "milk" diluted 1:2.5 (sprayable) applied with a UFO applicator and knocked down with a MF towel (quick and yields amazing results on this Silverado interior "plastic").

Looking PROPER on that interior man.

I need to mix up some VRT milk, you said 1:2.5 (so 4.5 oz VRT to 11.5 oz water?), would like to spray VRT milk on engine bay before getting the other areas I can't reach with In & Out.  As well, would like to try your mixture on the interior.

I appreciate it brother.  I must admit it wasnt extremely dirty but I was very pleased on how well it turned out.

On the SVRT "milk", this was my first time using it on the interior.  I added 7 ounces of water to the last 3 ounces of my SVRT bottle so I guess technically its 1:2.33 dilution.  It sprays easily and spreads like a dream.  I sprayed it directly onto the red UFO applicator with two light spritz, "kissed the finish" over my workable area, and then spread it evenly.  The excess product knocks down perfectly with a utility towel.  I was left with a flawless finish with no streaks, dark spots, or greasy feeling.

I hope you have the same experience as me, but if I am being honest, it was the best interior dressing I have ever used.

Nice job Chase!! :2thumbs:

Thanks Rich.

Hey by any chance are you close to Hazleton or Elizabethtown PA? Your state has been very good to our business in the last few years building distribution centers in those towns. Nice part of the USA.

Actually Adam does not recommend using SVRT on interior surfaces........this is a quote from the site.

NOTE: Adam's Super VRT Tire & Trim Dressing is for exterior use. For interior leather, vinyl and plastic use Adam's Leather & Interior Conditioner or Adam's Total Interior Detailer

Oh no, say it aint so!!

You know, I should probably just call the truck a complete loss and have it towed away.  The damage I have inflicted by stepping outside the box could never be undone.

Woe is me...

:jester:

Actually many poeple use SVRT on the interior Chris, mostly on door panels or anything that could be exposed to rain water.  I appreciate your input though.

I've heard of SVRT milk or even SVRT being used for years on interior plastics, especially on door panels.  Great way to waterproof those door panels on the truck, and diluted, it should make a nice matte finish as opposed to the low gloss of full strength SVRT.

Must be amazing to smell it on the interior too :)

The smell is faint but very pleasant.  The dilution knocks it down quite a bit from its wonderful aroma at full strength.

Wow, it looks brand new!  Good job!! I have a light grey interior color on my door panels, I have tried everything to get the black (oil i think) mark off, except for all purpose cleaner.  Thanks for the tip!
