babaron
I can't seem to get my wash pads completely clean using the method described in the Adam's website. Could I just toss them in the wash with my microfiber towels? Edited May 17, 2014 by babaron

Could I just toss them in the wash with my microfiber towels? It can take a couple of goes of APC and warm water, also I found best to due the day of use. 0 Chris@Adams
It's not a good idea to wash them in the washer, after time they will get like little dreadlocks and they will scratch your paint. You think your wash pads are just stained?
0 babaron
No, not stained. They get all manner of particulate crap in them when I wash the Daily Driver, esp. the one for the lower half of the car. Seems no matter how much I rinse and rub, it doesn't all clear. 0 Chris@Adams
Can you brush them out?
0 GerryC
Try using a hair brush to brush the dirt out of your wash pads. Do not wash them with your microfiber towels. I've ruined wash pads by picking up a lot of particulate as you've mentioned. Pre-soaking the really dirty areas on your car can help loosen the crap to the point where it may come off with the initial rinse. It may also help to get a less expensive wash media, such as a microfiber mitt, for when you have to hit these areas. High quality ones can be had for around $6, and are easier to clean out than wool or synthetic pads.
0 Hot_Wheel
I find that using a hair brush works wonders while cleaning with APC.
0 Ricky Bobby
I find that at their price point I get a fresh set each spring, and toss them by the end of winter. $20 for both, easy enough.
0 Team Adam's
Hair brush and compressed air works well for me to get crud out from deep within the wash pads.
0 07stanggt
Best method I have found to clean pads: Lay them on clean surface, pad side up, and use your garden hose, spray water full blast at the pad and whatever product you used will fly off the pads. When done, squirt a small amount of Dawn dishwashing liquid directley onto the pad, knead into pad so diswashing liquid soaps up, rinse under as hot of water as you can handle, repeat if needed till all product is removed from pad. Dry on a vented drying rack or equivalant, pad side down till fully dry. You should get 10 or so paint corrections per pad if cleaned properly. If you're using Dawn, be especially sure to get it all rinsed out of the pad. 07stanggt
