stryker065
Two of my cars have some serious tire blooming going on. I use APC but it actually seems to make it worse. The SVRT hides it but when it wears off I see it again, Any ideas?

0 blcksilv08
Are you using full strength? How long are you letting the APC work?
0 stryker065
I am using APC at full strength. Not letting sit on too long. Basically I spray it on then scrub with a brush
0 Thorsager
What works for me is to spray the APC on the tire while it is still dry. I let that dwell for maybe two minutes or so. Then I take a soapy brush and scrub the tire. I then rinse. I will do this again. Afterwards I will apply the SVRT. Where you using a silicone based dressing before SVRT? If it was silicone based it may take a while to remove and recondition the tires.
0 Chris@Adams
I don't think I would worry about it.....as long as you have plenty of SVRT. CMDChase
0 scootertrash19
Kingsford, thanks for the insight (blooming). My tires do the same, I read somewhere it was the APC pulling the oils out of the rubber? I just use SVRT and its all good.

0 stryker065
Quick update... I used full strength APC. Let sit for a couple minutes then scrubbed and scrubbed. Then rinsed off. When they dried I still saw the brown! I then took a wet rag and most of the brown wiped off! All this time didnt think of wiping them. Yes, I ruined a towel but I may have this solved now. Going to try the same thing next wash.
0 egott_91
Take a cheap towel, spray some APC on it and scrub the tire with the towel. Fphillips

I bought a large package of them several years ago from a warehouse club and use them for them for carpets, tires, wheel wells, and other places that are dirty but don't need the 'soft touch' of MF. 0 Chewy
Cheap tires or name brand? I usually clean the tires until I see no more dark suds from the oxidized rubber.
