BrianT
I need some help! If anyone is in the auto insurance business and can PM a phone number of someone in upper management or a high ranking supervisor for Liberty Mutual Auto Insurance I would be in your debt! I'm having some issues regarding an accident! I don't want to get into specifics right now, I want to give them the opportunity to make it right before I go and beat them up. Thanks!!!! Tim
I work for a competitor of LM, if you need any general questions answered, I'd be happy to help, but I don't know anyone there.
magentahost
I assume you can't find someone connected to LM from here so most probably just contact your agent or direct to the company for issues like this.

Adam
My wife was rear-ended recently. Not hard, nobody was hurt. However, now her car is going into the shop, and I realized, this is now going to have a "dirty" Car Fax. So, asked the Geico agent, "What about a diminished value payment?" Basically, when this baby/family mover gets traded in, and has a "minor accident" on the Car Fax, it will certainly affect the value. Anyone else thought about this kind of thing? I have, but IMO a lot of it depends on where you have the repairs done. I learned years ago to only go to a certain dealership body shop here locally. I have an eye that focus' immediately to something that isn't right. Paint match is a biggie. And I can't see anything when I have had work done at this shop. And I supposed if it where pulled up and it showed they did the work (or you could prove who did it) I wouldn't think that it would be that big of a ding as if some corner shop had done the repairs. Some shops are going to be more thorough than others.
WHTEVO
Adam, I inquired about the whole diminished value when one of my cars was sideswiped a while back and was basically told thatbColorado doesn't recognize finished value as something they can pay out for. Oh well.
Feets31
If you could prove how much of the value you will lose you might have a case. Now an attorney could probably do research on how much below book value a carfax car sells for, but your case is not worth millions, so it is not likely to get done. If it had been damaged more, the extra clean car would be worth more and might help make the car worth repairing over totaling.
BrianT
My Ram was hit in Home Depot, and of course no note. I traded it in on the Durango and lost 500 bucks. It was only the driver door and only cost 750 to fix.
Feets31
Plus you can always asked for diminished value, but that doe not mean you will get it.
