hemi1300
In the process of buying a denim black 2014 street glide. While I absolutely love the look of the bike, I worry about the flat black paint, and lack of protection u can apply. Read that water spots can permanently stain the paint, does this mean if u ride in the rain the paint may get damaged? Also, I know u can't wax flat black, but what about quick sealant for some protection? I applied qs to my flat black helmet a while ago and think it turned out great, just gave it a little more of a wet look. Anybody with a denim black harley please chime in and let me know your opinions
hemi1300
Say I used quick sealant and it didn't turn out too good, wouldn't it be easily removed with all purpose?

hemi1300
Thanks for the thread, good info there. So it is safe to use quick sealant then with no negative effects, should provide a good amount of protection
Team Adam's
Yep, QS is a great protection option for flat/matte paint! On some finishes, it will leave a satin look, and others it will stay complete matte. All depends on the material it's applied to.

hemi1300
So basically as long as I wipe it down with glass cleaner or waterless every so often, and use quick sealant for protection, be careful not to wash in direct sunlight to avoid water spots (quick sealant should prevent this anyway?), I will be fine, correct? Trying to make a decision today, and I really do like the denim, if I can use quick sealant I feel better now
