Black Bowtie
When I have applied Super VRT to my mirror housings and door handles, I have noticed after it has rained it will leave a film down the door where water has run. Do I need to wipe them down after putting on or is this normal?
0 Beemer
You probably used too much. VRT doesn't soak in to hard plastic as well as it does soft rubber or vinyl. After applying to plastic I usually let it sit for a few minutes and the wipe it off with a dry towel. GerryC
0 Black Bowtie
Thanks. I try not to apply very much, because a little goes a long way. I will wipe them down better with a dry cloth.
0 Marylander
Yup, less is more. On hard plastic surfaces I apply, let it sit for 10 min or so, then wipe it down. Retired_CPO
0 Rich
I actually wipe it off with a clean micro after I've used it to avoid that problem. Retired_CPO
0 The Guz
I lightly buff all trim after a few min after applying SVRT.
0 GerryC
Very little Super VRT is needed to dress hard non-porous plastic. Often, the residual dressing in your sponge is enough to do a decently-sized area. If you used too much, simply wipe off the excess with a clean towel, as stated above.
