When I have applied Super VRT to my mirror housings and door handles, I have noticed after it has rained it will leave a film down the door where water has run. Do I need to wipe them down after putting on or is this normal?

You probably used too much.  VRT doesn't soak in to hard plastic as well as it does soft rubber or vinyl.  After applying to plastic I usually let it sit for a few minutes and the wipe it off with a dry towel.

Thanks. I try not to apply very much, because a little goes a long way. I will wipe them down better with a dry cloth.

Yup, less is more. On hard plastic surfaces I apply, let it sit for 10 min or so, then wipe it down.

I actually wipe it off with a clean micro after I've used it to avoid that problem.

I lightly buff all trim after a few min after applying SVRT.

Very little Super VRT is needed to dress hard non-porous plastic. Often, the residual dressing in your sponge is enough to do a decently-sized area. If you used too much, simply wipe off the excess with a clean towel, as stated above.
