Will deep wheel cleaner stain concrete?

So back in the UK, I would use either IronX or Wolf's to do a deep clean of wheels... However, the run off from these types of product (the purple goop) would stain concrete & asphalt f not rinsed away immediately - and that was on dark concrete...

 

Now I have a nice new driveway in NC, I don't want to go leaving purple stains all over it, and rinsing it away immediately is not really an option.

 

Does anyone know if deep wheel cleaner will stain - and if so any idea of how long it can be left before it will permanently mark a driveway?

I have a concrete driveway and it hasn't stained mine at all yet. Obviously not every driveway or situation is the same, but so far so good on my end

As Justin said, every driveway and concrete may be different. Deep wheel can definitely stain concrete. Just be cautious and if you are worried I would advise to not use it on the driveway!

I used it the other day, but I also washed immediately following so I didn't have a stain.

No stain on our driveway, but I always rinse down when there is excess brake dust. Maybe used DWC 3 dozen times on our concrete driveway over the past year.

Staining can occur if you have a big pool of DWC "blood" mixed with brake dust as the dissolved dust is the main culprit when it comes to staining.

 

Just be sure to rinse thoroughly and you'll be fine.

Wet the concrete real good before applying the DWC. It keeps it from sitting in one spot too long. I have similar issues with my drive. Crappy NC concrete.

x2 to above, and with APC as well I find that you have to spray your driveway down with water before applying cleaners for wheels/tires, and rinse well!

Well, used the DWC today... and seems to be all good on the driveway

 

Only issue now is that I managed to use 3/4 bottle of DWC and I'm still not happy with the result. It's my own fault. 13 months without a clean pays the price

It definitely will be something you buy in gallons, I also use it 1:1 as a paint decon spray before claying, and I go through about a half bottle or more on the paint when I use it for that.
