RodneyPierce Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 (edited) Here is my personal car. Just covered it in a couple coats of Buttery Wax and Im impressed! Edited August 12, 2014 by RodneyPierce
RodneyPierce Posted August 12, 2014 Author Posted August 12, 2014 Thanks guys!! I've never had a car that I loved as much as this one. Just so smooth and refined. I am pretty anal about it, as you can tell
IAcamoprincess01 Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Love the way the black pops with buttery wax...nice to see more Iowa people on here too!
RodneyPierce Posted August 14, 2014 Author Posted August 14, 2014 Alright, just used the waterless wash today (for the second time) and got much better results then I did last time. I really am starting to like this product! I do have a question, does it have any sort of wax or carnuba in it? As after wiping down the car with it, it feels very very slick! Like just waxed slick. Followed it up Adams detail spray, and pulled it out into the sun. Just a couple reflection shots. Did I say how much I love Adams products? This is only the third time I have used them, but my shopping cart on the site will soon be full of stuff!!! And the money shot. This is my reflection in the hood:
Team Adam's Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Nice Rodney!! WW has no wax in it, but it is a great cleaner! The slickness you're feeling after a WW wipedown is likely from the fresh layer of Buttery Wax you have on there. And since you did a DS wipedown afterwards, you should have noticed the paint was super slick after that!
DieselDude Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 Mercedes looks great. :2thumbs: RodneyPierce 1
BoomerSooner Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Does the pedal car in the background get as much love as the 550?
RodneyPierce Posted August 27, 2014 Author Posted August 27, 2014 Does the pedal car in the background get as much love as the 550? hahaha, no sir, it does not. That is my daughters. She does do a fair amount of "work" on it though. I also restored an original 1949 Murray Pontiac station wagon for my son for his first birthday party this weekend. Couple pics below. Addison "working" on hers: And here is the one I just restored for my son Reese: mc2hill, CTFocusST and Team Adam's 3
BoomerSooner Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Those are awesome! Where are you able to find them in restorable condition? I've been looking for an airplane version for my two girls.
RodneyPierce Posted August 27, 2014 Author Posted August 27, 2014 The one I just did for my son actually came from my family. My mom had it in her basement for years and I got lucky enough to get it from her. It was pretty rough to start. The only other one I have found that was an original survivor they wanted 1800.00 for. Ebay is a good place to look. The one my daughter has is actually a chinese reproduction made by champion I believe, and sold by speedway motors. Just a beater.
