Molding

airhog

Question

Yesterday I just washed my van and after I dried it off I took a step back to look for any more water and saw white very faintly over my molding on the bottom of my door. The molding is supposed to be dark grey. Any ideas what this is what to use on it to correct it?

Thanks.

I had a very similar issue around the window molding on my Vette. I used Adams All Purpose Cleaner (APC) and it came off. I used a MF towel and put a little APC on the towel. I rubbed the molding to remove the white residue. Then I took a wet MF towel and rinsed the molding several time to make sure all the white residue and APC was removed. I then applied VRT and bam, all looked great.

I believe this stuff was from when I detailed the car with my PC and went too far with the pad.
