Black Bowtie
What do you guys use to get the lint off the cloth seats of a Chevy Silverado? Vaccuums don't pull it off, and neither does a lint roller. I have not tried a upolstery brush yet. Everything seems to stick to it.
0 red94chev
I push it around with my hands until it clumps up. NNBS silvy right? That material is a pain.
0 Team Adam's
I used to use one of the sticky/tape lint rollers you can get at almost any store. Seemed to be about the only effective way and they're cheap.
0 Kingsford
Try a Lint BRUSH. No need to buy those sticky refills and it generally gets any lint, dust or hair stuck to a cloth surface.
0 redneck08sierra
my shop vac eventually sucks the lint off but it does take some elbow grease to get it off. Mine is an 08 and i thought was the only year the seats had this issue...i thought they were fixed for the newer years

Agreed on the lint brush. 3M Scotch-Brite is what I use. It has a black plastic handle with a red lint pad that you brush directionally.
0 BluedogGMC
Even lint brushes don't alway work. I have a GMC same exact interior as a buddies Silverado and it is a pane to clean. I have even heard of some guys getting GM to recover their seats and it still does not help. GM knows about this problem and yet still uses some of the cloth even today that is VERY dificult to get the lint and hair off of.
0 Ricky Bobby
^If you think that type of fabric is tough try the velour type fabric that VW used in the 99-05 MKIV models, I had one and it was a nightmare
0 Black Bowtie
Thnaks guys. I have tried the lint roller, and it does not do much. I think I will try a lint brush next or the more expensive lint roller (SoctchGuard) maybe the adhesive is stickier then the 99 cent ones I have been trying? I am almost ready to put seat covers on it.
0 Ricky Bobby
If you try the pet hair rock sold at many detailing stores it should work best.

The one problem I found after visiting my Mom (she has a white dog) the short hairs would be stuck in the cloth like it went in and came back out of a different hole almost like weaving itslef to the seat. I litterally have to pull each hair out one at a time.

I litterally have to pull each hair out one at a time. I also have a white dog, an American Bulldog (short white hairs) We literally cannot own cloth couches or vehicles seats for that reason. Even with a shop vac you have to go over the spot a few times in different directions to get all the hairs to lift BluedogGMC

I litterally have to pull each hair out one at a time. My son came over to vacuum out about 6 months of dog hair from his truck. It was everywhere. He picked up an old lint brush I had, the kind with a handle, a stranded-wire loop, and short nylon bristles. He rubbed that back and forth over the dog hair and followed with the vacuum. It came out really clean and it was easy and quick. It won't stop lint or dog hair from accumulating but it sure made it easy to clean. 0 BluedogGMC
It's a Ford F-150. That's a lot different. I also have a Ford F150 and I have no problems cleaning the seats in it. These GM interiors are a real pain in the but to get the lint and hair out of. GM even knows this but it has been at least three or four years now and as far as I know (have not checked the 2015s) they are still using this cloth that litterally sucks......
