chops1sc
How much do you let the weather affect your detailing? For the last 5 days and it seems like the foreseeable future we have had over 100 degree heat. I get plenty of evening shade to protect from the sun while washing, but it is still 95+ at 8:00 at night! I'm a big guy and j have to pick and choose when I get sweaty on purpose, lol! Thorsager
It has been really humid here in PA for the past few weeks. So I try to detail early in the morning. I do not do well when it is hot and humid.
goheels
Weather absolutely dictates my detailing schedule. (I'm not detailing for money.) If necessary, I save any correction for the Fall and Spring months and just do wash maintenance during winter/summer. It is not worth the wear and tear on my body as well as the challenges of polishing during extreme temperature.
AmyAtAdamsAustralia
It is a bummer when the weather sets in, especially when you detail as a business. I try not to let it affect it too much and take pop up shelter when needed.
Black Bowtie
I don't detail for money, but the rain every other day puts a hamper on trying to keep the vehicles looking good. I also work in the heat during the day, so some days when I get home and in the AC it is hard to get motivated to go back out.
DieselDude
I can take the heat but not the humidity we have. It has been 90+ since Saturday but I think we will get a break Friday and Saturday but then back to 90+. Saturday I was working outside and in the basement some (while in the basement I could hear the condensation runing out of the furance into the pump. mc2hill
I will do my wife's car without regard to the weather, as it sleeps in the garage. I will often do a Rinseless Wash on hers in the garage during a rain storm (cooler temps). If I am working on a clients car, the weather will not stop me (I have shade on my driveway most of the day), but having to move it in and out of the garage does slow me down. As for my black truck, it will often be unwashed for several weeks when our daily summer rains start.
