Clay

BTRSS

Question

I may have put this up once before, but I just can't remember. Must be getting old, LOL  . Anyway, basic question for the forum. When I'm going to clay, I would double bucket wash and dry the car, then I would spray a small area with Detail Spray, then clay. Simple enough, but my question is do I then wipe down the surface with a double soft towel to remove the residue or do I spray the area again with Detail Spray and wipe it down with a double soft towel? Advise?

Chris has the right idea, it really saves time!

Having said that, I wash the vehicle again, because I'm pretty messy when claying and don't want to have a nice correction only to have claying residue all over the plastic and glass.

If you really want to save time, leave the car wet after your final rinse, spray down the panels with DS or diluted rinseless while the panel is still wet and go to town with claying.  Or even a fresh bucket of suds, then just give a final rinse and dry the car as usual and you're ready to polish or apply LSP
