0 mc2hill
They will work, but you will probably not want to use them on paint again when you are finished polishing the metal.
0 Team Adam's
Correct. They work great actually... but once they've been used for MP I would keep them for that job alone.I usually retire my old paint pads to metal polishing duty when they're a little ragged around the edges. I did use the orange for #2 and white for #1, also did the "forbidden" cheap micro wipe and do have fine scratches in stainless pipes on bike. Would be from orange pad or micro (cheap) ? You have to be in the perfect light and angle so I'm not really concerned more curious. Now in the video Adam mentioned #2 to maintain is this correct? 0 BRZN
My guess, and from experience, the fine scratches came from the orange pad. A good grade of stainless steel shouldn't scratch from cheap microfiber towels. The orange foam is the most aggressive in Adam's line and can leave some marring of its own. I'll follow up from the orange with either a blue metal polish foam pad, a blue microfiber applicator, or a blue hex grip applicator to remove any marring left behind by the orange. Metal Polish #2 to maintain; correct.
