Bed Liner dressing

chops1sc

Question

My truck has a spray on bed liner that was applied over the rails. I would like to dress the visible part on the rails. I have read in a cpl threads where some have used a VRT milk as dressing. Will this method run or streak after rain? Any thoughts on using Invisible Undercarriage spray?

Svrt works great, but yes it will run down the sides of the bed a bit if rained on. Be careful if u put it on the floor of the bed, made that mistake once, went to jump in the bed and about busted my a**

I don't know. It has no tag and It was on the truck when I bought it back in March.

I went out and cleaned the driver's side rail with Adam's APC and let it dry before dividing it into 4 sections.

I applied 4 different dressings and/or treatments while still in the shade. In no particular order they are: Adam's TID, Armor All (original), Adam's IUS, Chemical Guys VRP. *This isn't a review, just a comparison. If this violates any rules I can remove the post! I let them sit for 2-3 minutes and wiped each section with a clean MF towel. Pulled the truck out into the sun.

I am tempted to go simulate some rain, LOL! What do you think?

My main concern is still runs from the bed caps. Which is the only part I want to regularly dress. If any of them run, I won't use anything. I may even end up putting some plastic caps over the liner.

If I knew I could remove it from just the caps without damaging the paint I would. But I imagine they had to scuff up the paint to apply it, right?

I would not even attempt to remove any type of spray on bedliner, unless u wanted to repaint. I couldn't even begin to try and peel a corner or something up on my line x, some seriously tough stuff! I'm sure they had to scuff the paint pretty well to get a good bond

I agree. I had to run an errand about an hour ago and I looked at the bed and saw no runs....then I put my sunglasses on. They showed up! I guess the polarized lenses let me see them. I am going to try to take a picture thru my glasses, LOL!

Darker the color the more they show.

Looks like I'm going back to the drawing board. I do have one more product to try first. But that will have to wait for another day. It is time to go eat. And that's one thing I like more than detailing, LOL!
