Question

so I been watching some videos on youtube about adam products.. some back as 2011... im a little confused as to what products to use.. or maybe in not reading it or understanding it right.. but theres lather conditioner, interior detail spray.. cleaner...many many products... I thought the leather conditioner was only for leather seats... but in the video adam is applying it to the plastic as well on the inside.. is this correct> shouldn't the interior detailer or VRT be used(if you want shiny) ..just some insight as to what to use on the interior cleaning part...

I use the LC on all surfaces in my truck and wife's car. The smell is wonderful! Like walking into a leather store! In my opinion, VRT would be too shiny for interior and I haven't used anything else but the LC so I cannot say how shiny the TID is even though I have it.

sVRT is not for Interior use.

Leather Conditioner works great on leather, vinyl and plastic. I would not use it on smooth plastic, clear plastic or screens.  It should be used on clean surfaces as a dressing. I use this every few months to keep my vinyl seats soft.

Leather and Interior Cleaner is for cleaning dirty/soiled leather, vinyl and plastic. I rarely use this on my car because it doesn't get dirt but I have had to use it on other dirty interiors,

Total Interior Detailer is for lightly dirty/dusty interior leather, vinyl and plastics. Works fine on screens and clear plastics (spray it on your MF cloth, not on the screen).  Think of it as Detail Spray for your interior. Great for a regular wipedown. Adds a bit of SPF to protect your leather, plastics and vinyl surfaces.

Carpet & Upholstery cleaner are for carpets and cloth upholstery, of course.

Roger's descriptions are spot on. The only thing I can really add is that Total Interior Detailer will dry to a matte or near-matte finish. I prefer it on non-leather surfaces in my vehicles, because I don't like having a shiny interior on things like the dash board and door panels. It has UV blocking agents, odor neutralizers, and anti-static additives. It is not recommended to use it on suede/alcantara or upholstery, so use extra caution around those areas.

If you want a slight shine to your interior surfaces, Leather Conditioner works great on other surfaces besides leather, just as others have mentioned, but you also want to keep it clear of suede/alcantara and upholstery.

Leather & Interior cleaner is for cleaning more soiled and dirty surface areas. In other words you may not need to use it every time you want to condition your seats. Here is an example of Leather & Interior Cleaner in action at Corvettes at Carlisle a few weeks back. The owner thought his interior was clean, but Adam demonstrated on the driver seat and center console arm rest. Note the cut-line going down the center console showing the clean side compared to the dirty passenger side!

Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions, I'm always eager to help out :)

I use LC on most of my interior plastic. This is a personal preference.

I like how Leather Conditioner gives a shiny finish as opposed to TID which gives a matte or satin finish.

I choose not to use SVRT on everything because it is rather greasy and causes dust and dirt to stick to it and get nasty.

I do however use SVRT on my door panels because it is water resistant but I wipe it down heavily to take away the greasiness.

It may seem confusing at first but I use on first application the Leather and Interior cleaner on all leather and plastic, really good cleaner. I then follow with the Leather Conditioner on seats, steering wheel, center armrest and trans lever. I prefer the TID on dash and door plastic as it has less shine which I prefer. I do the same method every 4-5 weeks as maintanence or as needed. It's all personal opinion but getting the surface clean is key, if you have a garage queen you will go much longer between cleaning/ conditioning,if your in construction and enjoy the outdoors like me you may do it more often. As for VRT it was way to shiny on my Chevy even at 1:1 but on my Dodge it looked ok but only did it once on the doors and it held too much dust
