Brand new Mustang GT Premium - advice on caring for interior?

JCT

Question

Hi all,

The title says it all.   I have a brand-new Mustang Premium GT with the leather interior (no premier trim, however).

I have already purchased a good collection of Adam's products for the exterior, but I'm a bit confused as to how to get started on the interior given the car is brand -new.

Advice would be greatly appreciated.

Best,

JT

Hi Jil, welcome to the forum and congrats on your new Mustang!

Since it's brand new, I would suggest at least starting out with our Leather Conditioner with red foam interior applicators for the seats to keep them protected and soft. I will usually condition my leather surfaces monthly, using our Leather & Interior Cleaner before the Conditioner once they start to build up some dirt.

You can also use the conditioner on vinyl and plastic surfaces, like door panels, dash, center console, etc. It will leave a slight shine to these surfaces that you can buff down to a more satin/matte finish by flipping the applicator over and rubbing it into the surface more to leave it out.

If you want a no-gloss cleaner, our Interior Detailer spray dries to a completely matte finish. It can be used to clean light dirt and it also protects as well.

If you haven't already checked out our new Volume 10 Video Series, you can find them here:

Welcome to the forums Jil,

Dan hit it right on the head, as far as products and processes to keep your Mustang interior looking great, and new.

You will also love the smell of the Leather Conditioner once it is applied!

Excellent - went with the Car Cleaner kit and added the Interior Detailer for good measure.  Figured I would start off with a good conditioning as Dan and Robert suggested.

Will watch a few videos and looking forward to getting going!

Thanks,

JT

You'll love the Leather Conditioner. Best product and best scent in its class.

agreed.  also not being a fan of total interior detailer I use a mix of 1:16 of rinsless wash to detail spray as an interior detailer. hmm wonder who gave me that tip???

Thanks guys - will do, re: pics.  Once I give the new ride it's first "bath" and shine - ton's of dust out here in the desert

And the total interior detailer is for the beater Jeep so it doesn't feel neglected. No leather anywhere in that car!
