Previous Owner Rattle Canned the Truck

With it being spring, th birds are back in town and making target practice of my truck. It's time to wash it, but I'm not sure how to go about "detailing" a truck that's been rattle canned. He sprayed directly overtop of the original paint/clear coat and you can see be chips that have already occurred. Is there a way to clay/buff this truck to get a good look, or am I stuck with standard wash until a proper paint job is done?

Haha the entire truck. It was a dark blue, and he decided he wanted a red truck.

I would say that you are stuck until you get a paint job......IMHO.

Maybe someone might have a different idea.

Can you really make it worse? Might as well test an area and see how well it bonded. Maybe they didnt do good prep and you will get lucky.

Definitely. I don't know why the guy decided to paint it.
