0 LFairbanks
Hard to tell with the picture you posted. Is that part of the velcro backing plate, like the outer edge?
0 csikx
Hard to tell with the picture you posted. Is that part of the velcro backing plate, like the outer edge? That's what it looks like to me... Just needs a new backing plate.
0 AvsBest
It is a plastic ring and it goes between the white part of the backiing plate and the black part of it. I did about half the car in that condition and didn't notice anything different. Should I care replacing something or not really? 0 gencoupe3dot8
@AvsBest, A few questions: 1) If you take off the pad and look at the velcro, is anything obviously missing? 2) How did you determine is it from between the white and black parts (I don't see anything in the photo that suggests it) 3) If you look at the TOP of the black disk? (where the silver part is), when it peeks out as you rotate it, is it scuffed or very smooth? 4) Did you buy from Adam's? If so I would send it back and have them take a look. 0 DetailedbyTate
The same thing happened to mine shortly after purchase from Detailers Domain (about 3 weeks).I was able to fine a local Flex dealer to replace the backing plate free of charge.
