jeverton
Does anyone have more details on the new red wash mitt? The site only mentions... Soft, Scratch-Free Microfiber and Machine Washable. How many GSM? Where is it made (e.g. Korea) What type of yarn? How is this mitt better than chenille? Erictski
0 Mariner
And why is it more expensive than when it was introduced? It is a nice mitt though. Fits well over my hand and doesn't get super heavy like the Merino did Edited December 14, 2016 by Mariner

0 Dan@Adams
Mostly correct. It was a flash sale, limited-time-only price on Cyber Monday, just like we did with the Swirl Killer Mystery Box. Both sold out extremely fast.

0 SSilver07
I'm staring at mine as I type. I wish the weather was nicer! It is suppose to be 9* tomorrow here in Denver. Mid 40's next week so maybe then I'll give it a try. I just opened it! very soft yarn. fits like a glove. The inside is pretty soft and comfortable. The middle is sown inside towards the top, about 3" down, between your index and middle finger. I'm sure that makes it easier for you to move around when its all wet and heavy with soap. 0 dskinsler83
I am also looking for info on the new mitt. I am thinking of getting one. I have the wedge and the sinthetic pads. I like the wedge but I am not positive it is really not scracthing. I also have the grit gaurds and the grit gaurd wash grate add on and it still doesnt get all of the gunk out of the pads when washing the car. It is a bit of a PITA, but you might try rinsing the wash media with a garden hose before and/or using the rinse bucket. I often use the hose before the rinse bucket when the wash media is particularly dirty.

I used mine for the first time last week doing a 2 bucket Rinseless Wash on my wife's car. I liked it better than the 'dread head' wash mitts I had been using. It cleaned on the Grit Guard fine, but I will throw it in with the 'wash and dry' towels next time I do a load.

I picked a couple up to try out as while I love how fast the wedge is, I just wasnt liking it on the top half of the truck, bottom half it did fine on. Didnt like the pads when I tried one so hoping these will solve the issue. Didnt get mine before the cold hit so im still awaiting trials. dskinsler83

0 Ls1transam
I wasn't a huge fan of the red mitt. Didn't seem to hold suds very well. Most of my issue was how it felt on my hand. I knew right then it wasn't for me.
0 galaxy
I've used mine 6-7 times now since Christmas. Amazing. I love mine. In fact, I'll go on record as it being the best mit I've used. I have used micro fiber mits that were much fatter, plusher, held more fluid and maybe held a tad more suds, but the first thing I noticed what's how slick this mit is across the surface of the vehicle. This was also using it on a repeat car, same soap, same mixture, same LSP/surface prep on the car. It was so slippery, it immediately caught me by surprise and I thought something was wrong, LOL. Most of the microbier mits I've used have the big fat strands from the mit itself. This one has tiny tiny individual strands (in comparison) and that's what I feel/think/assume makes the difference. All those individual strands while not being able to hold as much suds, provides for much much more surface area. Surface area is a good thing for moving dirt off the surface of the paint. I also think the surface are of all those strands provided that slick, gliding feeling I get now. Junior
