Tree sap removal

Jason S.

Question

Have a detail coming in later today. Customer claims she has quite a bit of tree sap on the paint surface from leaving her car parked under trees all the time, but I haven't seen the vehicle yet. I don't have much experience with sap removal but I've seen a few posts and instructional videos using alcohol, hand sanitizer, and even liquid wax. Anyone have some good options to try? She has a relatively new vehicle, with no protection on it, so I'll definitely be applying some LPS afterwards. Thanks in advance.

Alcohol works well. Or, Tarminator. Adams unfortunately does not have anything specifically for tree sap.

Here is the method I used. Similar method can be used, just change Tarminator with Alcohol. http://hfxdetailing.com/removing-baked-on-sap-from-your-vehicle/

PS: I know we are not supposed to really mention other products, hoping this is OK because Adams does not have anything like Tarminator. Hint Hint, wink wink... next new product?      B)  B)
