Autodermatology's garage project!!!

Sizzle Chest

Recommended Posts

I've been wanting to do some 'updates/upgrades' to the operating room at Autodermatology for a while now. Finally finished with my research and pulled the trigger!

New epoxy floors, garage doors, and openers!

I'm digging it! I think it looks great. I have 12' ceiling and I went with high lift tracks for the garage doors. This raised the doors almost to the ceiling and really opened up the area. It also gave me more room for additional lighting which I will add shortly. I also had wall mounted door openers installed in order to remove the old garage tracking/motors from the center of the ceilings.

I still need to add my additional lighting as well as do some painting on the ceilings and walls where some old supports were and it will be completely finished!

The floors are base coat, top coat, full broadcast with mica chips and then top coated. Baseboard was also added all the way around for a 'finished' look.

Comments are welcome!!!

Holy cow that looks fantastic!  And those doors look amazing!

I was in a class taught by Jason Rose at Mobile Tech Expo and he recommended black walls and ceilings for paint correction (the Rupes studio is setup this way)...sounds cool, but I am sure Mrs. Sizzle would have vetoed that!

Thanks Mike!  Yeah, I thought about darker walls...but yep, she dropped the gavel on that idea!  LOL

I'm intrigued as I've been considering various lift options. Especially after doing the Lotus which doesn't easily go on jackstands. Instead I took the wheels off one at a time, coated then and reinstalled. Then repeated the process again to boost them. A low or mid rise lift would be a massive time saver. And since that doesn't have to stay on the floor all the time, it's even better. Which model did you go with? I saw they have a few. I'd like something that can do smaller cars as well as a typical truck? Although a truck is easy enough to jackstand.

It's the BL-5000SLX.  And I really, really like it.  I used to do all my wheels off the way you did.  It got to be a pain, this lift makes it so much easier.  And, it's portable.  You can even take it to your buddies house in the back of a pick up or SUV!  Nice!

Thanks for the responses everyone!  I appreciate it!

Beautiful garage! While everyone was admiring the lift, electrical works, etc. I zoomed in on the corner with your rods n reels. I love my fishing more than my garage time...just barely.

I wish they got more use!  I need to give them a good work out soon!
