J Rosson Posted May 18, 2017 Posted May 18, 2017 Like the topic says, Can/should you apply Liquid Paint Sealant over a clear Bra? I know it can't go over matte decals or matte wraps. I have a buddy that has a new truck with nothing 9product) on it currently but the dealer installed a clear bra before it left the dealership. We will strip wash, clay and then apply LPS. Just not sure if it can go over the bra or should I avoid it. I did a search but couldn't seem to come up with anything.
0 PostalTwo Posted May 18, 2017 Posted May 18, 2017 Yeah u should be fine over the bra . It's doesn't hurt mine
0 Rich Posted May 18, 2017 Posted May 18, 2017 You can use it, just make sure you have the edges of the tape totally clean. Dirt has a habit of sitting on those edges and you don't want to seal it in.
0 Nathan Posted May 18, 2017 Posted May 18, 2017 You can, just go in straight lines from the clear bra to the paint, you don't want to get any sealant or wax in those edges. And make sure there is not a blob of sealant or wax on the applicator before you go over the edge between the clear bra and paint.
0 LT1xL82 Posted May 19, 2017 Posted May 19, 2017 I tried it and didn't notice any improvement in appearance. It likely did provide some protection. Generally, shampoo, waxes, sealants, and coatings are OK. Have a chat with the manufacturer/installer BEFORE using solvents, abrasives, or machines.
