Southern Car Parts
Has anyone tried the headlight restore kit yet? I have about 3 cars to do and was wondering how it works. Ive seen other kits out there but like Adams stuff and want to stick with it
0 Chonke
Ive used it. It works a lot better than a few of the big box stores ive also worked with. However, i also had to wet sand my headlights because they were pretty bad. I actually posted a thread with some pics of before and after.

0 Michael1
Picked up the kit and it's worked great for me. Definitely might have to make multiple passes and/or wet sand any super stubborn lights, but kit has worked good for me.

0 drobinson
I used the Adam's Headlight Kit last weekend and I am pretty happy with the results. It took more passes and longer than I expected, but results were worth it. Before After mc2hill, SVillalon, avimore and 1 other
0 TexWalker
It took a lot longer than I would have liked. Ended up wet sanding. Two things. First, my headlights were embarrassingly horrible so I can’t fault Adams on that. Second, I’m wondering if I need to try to find a faster drill. I feel like a little more rpm would help speed things up Pneumatic die grinder??? Edited September 24, 2017 by TexWalker
0 Chonke
Air tools will probably be easier to use, but i found it was very doable with an 18v drill. More speed was helpful, but it also creates more heat, so be careful while doing that.
0 Mariner
I tried the Adams kit but ended up wet sanding as well. Polish just can’t touch headlights that are in very poor shape. Don’t forget to apply a UV clear coat protectant afterwards or over time they’ll just cloud up again. TexWalker
0 TexWalker
I have an 18v dewalt. I think I needed more power. But, again, these headlights were BAD, so there’s that
0 Junior
Kit worked well for me on a 2000 Camry see before and after. It took very little time and I didn't have to use the mf pads. However the factory coating either wasn't degraded or these lights didn't have one to begin with.
