70'sChevyGirl Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 I'm not so sure I'd like other peoples spit on the corner of the pages of my books from them turning the pages.
KrazyTrain Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 Or here is an idea... if someone doesnt return that book for like 15 years you assess a fine to them and take away their book borrowing card. Not that i would ever borrow a book and not bring it back or anything
Rich Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 Well, you'd have to give them a date to have the book returned by. And of course some kind of punishment if they don't. Maybe a fine, like .50C a day or something. They would have to have someone there though that could help you find a book, and maybe show you where to look. Maybe someone even with a college degree. And of course, you would need to keep the adult books away from the children's books. Just in case...........you know. Wow, we should all get together and start one of these. It might actually catch on!
Superdutytd Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 Wait book rental? That'll never work. I mean who's going to go rent books when they can just go buy them and keep them?
Marylander Posted April 7, 2009 Author Posted April 7, 2009 I heart this thread. My dream is that Adam will just make a video of any book that I ever want to read. I can see it now: Adam: "Ok, I've got A PC here with a little bit of Swirl & Haze on an orange pad. It was the best of times, and it was the worst of times..."
Rich Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 More like: "In the beginning Adam created the polish and cloths. Cars were dirty and without cleanliness and Adam looked down upon the dirtiness and was sad. So Adam said, "let there be clean"...........and there was clean. And Adam was pleased. And Adam said "let there be shine" and there was shine. And Adam was pleased.
