So much wax, so little understanding!!

Question

Posted

I have a Dodge Ram QC that is/was my pride and joy(I have 17 month old twins) I what to know where to start? I know I need the clay so that is not a problem. But what after that, some say that you want the least abrasive to get the job done, okay but is that the Adams swirl and haze or the machine polish followed by the super polish? This is for more of an upkeep than a show truck.

Thanks,

Brian

ps. I was looking at the complete kit minus the PC for 146 bucks but was not sure about the swirl and haze.

Brian,

Great question. If this is your first detail then yes, clay bar is essential. Normally a less abrasive polish would work but again - if this is the trucks first detail then it'll probably need some correcting. If you can't post pictures we'll all just help you out as best we can. If you plan on doing this with the Porter Cable then yes, the Swirl and Haze Remover, Fine Machine Polish and Machine SuperWax is your ticket.

Wash w/ Adams Soap

Claybar w/ Adams Claybar + Detail Spray

Wash again w/ Adams Soap

Dry w/ Detail Spray and White WW MF towel

Polish w/ Swirl & Haze Remover

Polish w/ Revive Polish

Wax w/ Buttery Wax

Top w/ Brilliant Spray Glaze as desired

Thats all of course if you're working by hand.
