Sundog Detailing Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 (edited) Mt Redoubt continues to erupt, luckily it is blowing ash over the Kenai and is missing us. Edited April 1, 2009 by Sundog Detailing
mikegeaney Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 Wow! How far away from that are you Taig? Hopefully a safe distance. That looks like 2 huge concussion waves going up. Must be loud.
70'sChevyGirl Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 Wow...that is an awesome pic. I hope that everyone stays safe.
Sundog Detailing Posted April 1, 2009 Author Posted April 1, 2009 it's about 150 air miles from my house.
ShineTech Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 That is an amazing shot. Kind of scary, it looks like an atom bomb when off or something.
01Bullitt Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 Hope you have a car cover just in case the wind changes. I have never been near a volcanic eruption (St Helens blew before I moved to the Pacific Northwest) but from what I understand the ash can wreck havoc on cars.
Sundog Detailing Posted April 1, 2009 Author Posted April 1, 2009 I was in Spokane when St Helens blew, it was like being on another planet. Yeah volcanic ash is tough on vehicles, it's tiny particles of glass, but I guess this will help keep me busy:pc:
bobfred44 Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 it's about 150 air miles from my house. Amazing. Just give a perspective of the size of the cloud.
