It doesn't matter what your friends, family, or strangers at a car show say. The only way to know if your car is cool or not is the ten year old test. If you are driving and kids point and look at your car with excitement you drive a cool car.

Atleast this seems like the best way to me. Kids have this brutal honesty that adult don't. They don't have bias towards companies or countries, but they know cool when they see it.

Honestly I can get all the compliments in the world, but when you drive by a group of kids and they are all jumping and pointing and going crazy, that's the best.

Try it out sometime, the 10 year old test. :burnout:

I like that, you have a good point. I always get a grin when i am leaving my subdivision in the vette for a Sunday cruise and the kids all stop dead in their tracks and just stare at the car going by and start giving me a

What a feeling

I agree. I do an event every year called "Dream Ride for Kids" where we give a disabled kid of one dying of something a ride in a bunch of exotics. I'm not much of a kid person but it's an awesome event. It is well supported and we get a police escort too. In the beginning all the cars are just parked and the kids go stand in front of which one they get a ride in. I get a big kick that I have probably THE cheapest car there and the kids just love it and each year "my" kid has told me how it's the coolest one there while he is just beaming smiling. Pretty cool. Also neat given the other mix of cars and they feel they are in the coolest one (when even I don't feel that way! haha) We had close to 20 Ferarris, last year, Astons, my friends SLR McLaren and her custom DB9 and Bentley as well, Spyker, etc etc etc. I also get interviewed every year after the event and the organizers all thank me for coming out and stuff and remember me by name from the previous years. Again just of neat since I have the cheapest car there. I think it's just cause its bright in color and I'm the young guy there.

I also get a kick when behind a school bus. Every time same scenario. One kid is turned around and sees you, then you can see him turn around to the other kids and yell or point or whatever, and 2 seconds later it's a wall of kids peeking up over the back seats and at the rear window. 4 years later still makes me smile every time.

I get that from kids in minivans a lot too. I flip up the headlights to say "hi" and they go bezerk! I get a kick out of it every time.

That's always fun. And they always want you to rev the engine, and when you do, the looks on their faces makes it all worthwhile. :burnout:

As for the 10 year old test the Mustang passes with flying colors. It's loud, bright and shiny  and the kids love it.

Doesn't always work..... I had kids in the rumble seat looking out the back and all the kids fight to be there. ALWAYS get kids looking, pointing, and smiling when I have passengers back there. I guess they're to young to remember what a Station Wagon is:mad:

Cool? EVERYONE knows that wagons ain't "cool";)
