JIMMY Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 (edited) Oz finally got some color down and also got the clear laid down as well. Now we just have to take the dash over to my buddies house and put in it so we can see where the two tone will split. Then we can lay down the silver. This dash and everything else is lookin so frickin sweet. Once again thank you Oz for all the help and teachin me stuff that I did not understand. JIMMY Man I cant wait until I can use my Adams stuff on this. Here are a couple shots with first couple coats of clear. Here is some shots of Oz goofin off, i mean laying it down Edited April 6, 2009 by Junkman2008
Superdutytd Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 Those are nice. I've always wanted to paint some of my interior pieces on my trucks but have never got around to it.
SweetDaddyDelicious Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 How did you make the dash smooth before paint? Fiberglass? Build up with high build primer than just sand down? Some other way? Looks good.
JIMMY Posted April 9, 2009 Author Posted April 9, 2009 did not fiberglass the whole thing just the vents, glove box, air bag cover and heater controls. then body filler, high build primer and paint. Still more to come. JIMMY
IMADreamer Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 Nice. That looks sweet. I tried to make a gauge pod once and it was major fail. So I'm impressed when I see it done right.
JIMMY Posted April 9, 2009 Author Posted April 9, 2009 to make the gauge pods we put aluminum foil around the gauge then fiberglass matting and resin. That is how we got out shape and the reason for the foil is the fiberglass will not stick to it. JIMMY
