Side by Side and Ceramic Spray Coating

Bjtomblin10

Question

Hey guys,

This has probably been asked a million times and I tried to search the forums, but just wanted a clear answer.

I have a Can am Commander side by side and some of the places I ride it gets pretty muddy, and alot of times, the clean up afterword is tough.

I use all adams products on my vehicles, but was just curious if I got a ceramic spray coating if it would help with the clean up afterword. I have no doubt that it will keep the water beading up, but was just curious if it would help tremendously with the pressure washing when I finish the ride and help the mud come off much easier instead of having to scrub the plastic and really spray the undercarriage.

Also, is ceramic coating ok to spray on the windshield of a side by side? I have seen numerous posts of people saying the ceramic messed up their windshields after spraying it on, so I didn't want to go down that path.  The windshield is poly carbonate if you would need to know that.

Can you all give me some insight on these questions?

I greatly appreciate it!

Brent

Graphene Ceramic Coating is absolutely safe and highly recommended. I detailed a Polaris UTV a while back, and the owner is extremely impressed with how easy it is to clean up afterwards. Here's a video on the process, it's a pretty easy to do. The hardest part is actually getting it completely clean before application.

And here are some before/after pics of the one I did. I coated the interior, exterior, suspension, etc.

Hi Brent,

I'm not sure how your windshield compares to the ones on Motorcycles and Golf carts, but I can tell you about my findings for them.  If the windshield is free of scratches, grooves and such, then you can use the Ceramic Spray Coating or Graphene Spray Coating on them.  Make sure you are paying close attention to get the excess removed and don't leave a high spot.

I will recommend doing a test area.  I do the very bottom of the windshield and use a piece painters tape to get a straight line.   If you go 2-4 inches from the bottom and the line is straight, it you can easily see the difference between what you have coated and not coated.  If the coated section looks good, then do more.  If the coated section doesn't look good, then it is still out of the the line of sight and will wear off over the next year.

If the windshield is already scratched up, then don't try to coat it as it will leave rainbows all over the place and really make the scratches stand out.

One thing that I really noticed this past weekend driving on the turnpike is that the ceramic coating on a windshield is a DIRT MAGNET!  Every speck of dust just stuck like glue.

Thank you all very much. I am not super worried about the windshield because like the comments above, I've seen that these are dust magnets. However, my windshield is in very good shape and would probably be easy to coat. My main priority would be the body at this point just for the ease of cleaning. Again, thank you all for the guidance on this and I plan to make this happen in the next day or so.

Do you guys use this on your seats? My commander has a faux leather type material and its a little different than the RZR seats.

I do not put any of the coatings on the seats and just use Adam's Leather Conditioner even on the Faux leather, which is what most of the Golf carts are that I do.  The import thing with the seats is to let them breath and keep the fabric moisturized to prevent cracking.  The Leather Conditioner accomplishes both of these and it is easy to apply and it smells great.

You could always try out the Leather and Vinyl Coating, if in doubt
