Few questions about degrease and decontamination.

Hey guys, 

 

My new vehicle is six months old. 
I’ve hand-applied a sealant (UPP Four Star) as I got my vehicle, since then it was cared with additional sealant (same one) and a QD (Ultima). 
 

After six months now, there are many watermarks and other contaminatations on the paint even after 3-pH bucket wash. 
 

I think it’s time to do something about it. 

I need to:

a) decontaminate the contamination, and

b) strip off the existing sealant for a new application.

 

Below is my plan: 

 

1. APC - bucket wash (Adam’s Strip Off)

2. Drying - Paint Cleanse (hand apply) - Prep

3. Apply Sealant and Wax. 
 

Would Adam’s Strip Off damange on paint since it is not PH neutral? 
 

Would it be necessary to glaze before applying sealant and wax?

It is possible it may strip off the old sealant but if you do have water spots it won't strip them off.  You will more than likely have to polish them off prior to applying a new layer of your favorite form of protection.

Thanks for the advice. 
so i guess it is best to do the 3-pH bucket wash, then apply the paint cleanser, and do the Adam’s Strip off before applying new form of protection. 
 

It is defo quite a work, but I’ll give it a go.
