The UV tracer is not a wear indicator, it's solely meant as an application aid. The different shades are likely uneven coverage, and could be caused by different pressure used when applying, the amount of coating on the applicator on that pass, time differences before removal of residue, etc. The more even the better, but if the UV tracer isn't present soon after applying, you probably missed that area.
