Kia EV6 Prep and Coating

RayS

Question

I had a 2022 Kia EV6 dropped off Friday afternoon that was purchased a week before.  The vehicle has just about 400 miles on it and the request was to do a Graphene coating.   While the new garage isn't complete, decided it was close enough that I'd work from their instead of the wife's garage.  It was sure nice having plenty of room and helped me figure out where I need to place the rest of the lights once I put the ceiling in.

It started with a full strip wash and iron remover before going in the garage.  Once inside, I started with the clay, then compound since it had dealer installed swirls, then polish.   The paint is rather soft on the Kia, which did make for easy work on getting everything ready for the prep wipe down and coating.  The biggest time consumer was all the different angles and curves in the panels.    I even charged for it for the owner since I had it for the weekend.

The next two pictures are after it coated, one inside and one outside.

The owner picked it up just after 6:00 PM on Sunday and was rather pleased with the outcome.
