-=Jeff=-
My Father-in-laws 84 corvette ( base/clear) looks more pink than red.. is there anything I can try to do to bring the color back? I have both a orbital and high speed buffers, assortment of pads.. any particular Adams product to start with and see if it does anything? The underside of the gas door (open) is the correct color, to the left is the pink hue
0 Norton
Don't think you can "detail" away years of sun fade. Suspect your best option is to repaint.
0 The Guz
Try a test spot with a polish and polishing pad. This is single stage paint that has oxidized over the years which is why it is pink.
0 falcaineer
I first thought single stage but you said base/clear. To clarify, has it been repainted or is it single stage paint?

To my knowledge, unless it had been repainted prior to my F-I-L's purchase in 1998 , this is original paint from Bowling Green Which is Base/Clear.. NOT Single Stage
0 -=Jeff=-
I ordered some new toys (SK 15mm pro) but while waiting I had my F-I-L car back due to clutch hydraulic failure and did a quick test panel, while sun fade may not go away I can make it better looking
